Investors Group signs on as title sponsor
We are delighted to announce that Investors Group has signed on as title sponsor of the Beat the Recession Race Series, alongside Pearl Izumi as our presenting sponsor. Investors Group in particular has a keen interest in our “Beat the Recession” mantra. Their focus is on financial planning – ranging from retirement readiness, education funding, managing taxes and building financial portfolios. In fact, Investors Group advisors will actually be on site at many of the races this summer offering advice and support to racers. Come out and meet your local Investors Group representative to learn about the ways you can better manage your money in turbulent times. Welcome Investors Group!
Registration is now open for all race venues
There is still time to be one of the first 100 people to register for an upcoming Beat the Recession race and receive a sweet pair of Pearl Izumi’s technical running socks! Registration is now open for all race venues (including Toronto). Join us for some quality mileage this summer. We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
Beat the Recession featured in Runner’s World Magazine
We were absolutely thrilled to learn that the Beat the Recession Race Series was written up in the current issue of Runner’s World. The article references the race in its “Cheap Tricks” article on page 107. The featured article that appears alongside our listing talks about the value of “back to basics” style races that really focus on the running experience – rather than all the hoopla that typically goes with it. On an unfortunate note, they made an error with the cost of our races. Each race is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. Check it out!
